The Power of Intuitive Living: Embrace Your Inner Guidance

This concept has been floating around in my brain for a few months now and has become a regular theme in sessions lately. I wanted to finally take the time to develop and define this concept further and give some tips on how you can start to live intuitively. It came to me after discussing Intuitive Eating in a session with a client and I realized that we could adapt the principles of Intuitive Eating to Intuitive Living.  In this fast-paced world we live in, it's easy to get caught up in the chaos of daily life. We often find ourselves making decisions based on external expectations, societal norms, and fear. But what if I told you that there's a way to live more authentically and aligned with your true self? It's called intuitive living, and in this blog, we'll explore the transformative power of listening to your inner guidance.

What Is Intuitive Living?

Intuitive living is all about tuning into your inner wisdom and using it as a compass to navigate life's challenges. It's a deeply personal journey that encourages you to trust your instincts and develop a profound connection with your inner self. Many of us are rigid/black or white thinkers and increasing our mental flexibility is a wonderful skill to have! You can change your mind about going out to dinner and admitting to your friend that you are just overbooked and need to reschedule.

It's natural to fear judgment from others when you start living intuitively. People around you may not understand your choices or may even criticize them. Let’s be honest too… people do judge others. However, it's essential to remember that your journey is unique, and you should prioritize your happiness and well-being. This may mean setting boundaries with others, to stop people-pleasing, and to stop doing things you “should” be doing. This is often difficult as others struggle to understand the “logic” behind your reasons, but guess what? What they think doesn’t matter! What they would do doesn’t matter! It’s taking the less traveled road and being ok with it.
